In recent memory, the Bourne series and the two newest James Bond flicks were pretty enjoyable. If we're talking Best of All Time, that's a whole other can of worms. And I'm not even going to touch the Worst category...
ReplyDeleteWe went to the Drive-in-Theater on Highway 18 this past weekend. Great experience, I highly recommend it for all of you. We saw "District 9" and "The Ugly Truth." I'm really not sure what to think of either movie - both were good & bad, and to the extremes of each, in both.
ReplyDeleteDistrict 9 was really good I thought. Yes, it's lacking on quite a few parts. Like character development, and it ended awfully open-ended. But I thought it brought up a great point of humanity's current state of values. IF an alien race came knocking on our doorstep for assistance I really think a lot of government/corporate powers would try to obtain (using any method possible) the technology from them.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I don't think humanity is ready to meet someone of an alien race. If you haven't seen the movie Contact (based on the book by Carl Sagan), it's a GREAT movie. Highly recommend it.... Not that it's an action movie...
Worst? A lot!!!! Best, or good? I'm kind of a Hong Kong movie fan!!!! Flash point that I'm sure sensei will find amusing ( Donnie yen ) fists of legend Jet Li's tribute to Bruce Lee and if anyone appreciates kung fu just a little bit: kingdom of heaven (jet li and Jackie Chan ) and without any doubt any Bruce lee movies and yes I loved the Bourne movies all three !!!
